This position evaluates performance data, INPO and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) scheduled assessments, and historical assessment results to provide recommendations for areas for assessment. The position will conduct and/or coordinate various meetings supporting implementation of the self-assessment program including the Self-Assessment Steering Committee that provides management oversight of the SA program, the Self-Assessment Forum, and leading the Self-Assessment Review Board to evaluate and score self-assessment reports and other program products completed by line organizations. This position will perform quality reviews of completed focused assessment plans and reports and provide feedback to assessment owners on the results of the quality reviews at the periodic Self-Assessment Review Board meetings. The position will perform ongoing and periodic assessments of self-assessment program requirements and implementation effectiveness, including formal benchmarking, program self-assessments, and development of program metrics. The position will develop and maintain procedures describing self-assessment and trending program requirements. The position will provide training and mentoring to the station on SA program implementation. Primary role for mentoring in general SA requirements, and as a back-up and support for focused assessment training and implementation. In addition, the position will perform other responsibilities as required.
