Director of Information Technology
Position Description Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC), located in Reno, Nevada is seeking applicants for a Director of Information Technology.This position is responsible for providing leadership, planning and coordination for the development and maintenance of College's information technologies and systems.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Management or related field from an accredited institution.
2. Five years of management experience related to Information Technology.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Master's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Management or related field from an accredited institution.
2. Experience in Higher Education or public sector.
Responsibilities

1. Oversee the efforts in:-Planning, purchasing, implementing and managing IT infrastructures that assist and enhance academic and administrative systems.-Training and use of academic and administrative IT systems.-Ensure the integrity and security of networks, servers, applications and computing systems.-Implement appropriate technologies within the college, and the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE).-Guide the work of campus technology planning committees to update, implement, and maintain an integrated technology and a information plan.-Develop and manage the operating budgets of the program to ensure both effective support and oversight of information technology investments in conjunction with college-wide planning processes.-Apply appropriate laws, regulations and requirements that govern the college's use of information technology.
2. Hire, supervise, support, train and evaluate team managers in areas that support user and system computing support; enterprise solutions analysis, design, development, programming and maintenance
3. Act as liaison with NSHE staff and auditors as assigned
4. Represent the college at state meetings as assigned
5. Understand and accept the role to be played as a partner in an educational enterprise serving the best interests of the students.
6. Perform assigned duties in a manner consistent with standards, mission, and goals of Truckee Meadows Community College.
7. Other duties as assigned.

Information Technician

Position Description Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC), located in Reno, Nevada is seeking applicants for two Information Technicians.
Information Technicians assist the Information Technology department with the programming, implementation, and coding maintenance of our in house and third party information management systems. These include executive information systems, financial systems, student information systems and other technology systems used at the college for information management.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited institution.
2. Two years full time experience in application development that includes:*Experience in .Net, Visual Basic and C#.**Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 2 years of full time experience in application development may be substituted with an Associate's degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited institution and 4 years of full time experience in application development.
3. Knowledge of web application development including but not limited to HTML 5, CSS3, Java Script, Jquery, etc.
4. Knowledge of SQL and the ability to construct practical queries.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Working knowledge and experience of Higher Education applications such as Curriculum Inventory Systems and Student Information Systems.

5. Work in a professional and collegial manner with faculty, staff and students in the best interest of the college and the people it serves.
